BioTherm® StarFin’s™ tapered six-fin design has three times the surface area of two-fin designs or 51mm thin-wall steel tubing.
BioTherm StarFin™ is our high heat output finned pipe commonly used for bench, perimeter, top, and gutter heating. Its tapered six-fin design provides maximum heat output while producing a soft, gentle heat.
StarFin’s large surface area decreases the amount of pipe needed, reducing shadowing, installation time, and labor.
This increased surface area produces BioTherm StarFin’s high heat output, allowing lower water temperatures to be used while producing soft, gentle greenhouse heat.
High heat output cuts installation time and labor because fewer pipes are required to meet the heat load. Our large I.D. allows long loops with generous flow rates, resulting in greater evenness.

12-foot sections are joined with O-ring fittings: no tools or welding required. New and improved StarFin features a ridged surface, increasing heat performance by up to 10.5%.
A heat source is required for this hydronic heating system.
Aluminum Fin Pipes, like StarFin™, DuoFin™, and SunFin™, efficiently transfer heat by circulating warm water through the pipe system, with the aluminum fins providing an extended surface area to radiate heat into the greenhouse environment.
