Dissolved Oxygen System

Dissolved oxygen infusion is a burgeoning technology with new applications being found every year. In horticulture, dissolved oxygen has traditionally been controlled by using inefficient blowers and air stones. While being able to marginally raise dissolved oxygen to a natural 8 ppm, surpassing this has been difficult up until recently with the advent of nano- and microbubble infusers. Our new DOS-X™ Series of dissolved oxygen infusers are our refreshed take on D.O. infusion, capable of boosting dissolved oxygen content up to 20 ppm – more than what can be found in nature! By supplementing dissolved oxygen in irrigation water, horticulturalists can increase their growth rates, help fend off rootzone diseases and decrease fertilizer usage by up to 20%, ultimately saving you time, money and headaches.

How does the DOS-X™ Series Infuse Dissolved Oxygen?

The DOS-X™ Series utilizes a “mass transfer fiber” allowing for the generation of nanobubbles. These fibers have tiny pores along its surface that are roughly 20 molecules of oxygen wide, allowing for these nanobubbles to form. When these bubbles “pop,” that oxygen is then absorbed and dissolved into irrigation water, resulting in the supranatural dissolved oxygen content modern horticulturalists are looking for.

Installation

The new DOS-X™ Series is required to be installed on a recirculation pattern. This recirculation loop is independent of your irrigation system, requiring only the DOS-X™, an oxygen source of your choosing, a power supply and some extra PVC. The inlet is supplanted in your reservoir or pond and is connected to the onboard pump. Water then travels through the dosing matrix and is sent back into our reservoir through a separate pipe. Our optional DO STAT™ can control the entire system based on set point, however a handheld D.O. Meter can be used instead. If using a meter in lieu of a D.O. STAT™, simply hit the on/off switch when the set point is reached.
